There are many aircraft associated with the museum - see the list at left. If you would like to find out more about each aircraft simply click on the name. The Deans, Linda Kay and Steve, have done a remarkable job bringing the aviation community in and around Gilmer together to tell the history of, educate and share the wonderful world of aviation.
Many well known aviation personalities have visited the museum flying their aircraft into Gilmer so local enthusiasts will get a chance to see and converse about their favorite passion: aviation. Mary Dilda visited not to long ago. As a pilot for FedEx she has many hours of flight time but in her free time she flies a T6 similar to Steve Dean's around pylons in Reno, Nevada each year at the National Championship Air Races.
Many aviation events are also held annually which give the public a chance to see aircraft in flight as well as close up on the ground. Rare aircraft visit occasionally as well! Visit our Events page to find out when the next activity will be held so you don't miss out. Be sure to bring your camera!
The T-6 Texan "Screaming Eagle" participates in many air performances throughout the year as part of "Flight of the Phoenix Escadrille." Read more about the Escadrille by clicking here. Follow the Escadrille during the show season by downloading the schedule here.
